The Journey of Forgiveness: An Educational Program for Persons at the End of Life Instructor's Manual
by Mary J. Hansen, Ph.D., and Robert D. Enright, Ph.D.
The Journey of Forgiveness: An Educational Program for Persons at the End of Life is an educational manual to help the dying person to forgive. The manual was designed to be respectful of participants' needs and to tailor the format of sessions to meet participants' preferences, understanding that persons participating in the educational program would have limited time and energy to complete a more exhaustive program. A research study using this manual proved beneficial to the participants. The manual is based upon the process model of forgiveness developed by Dr. Robert D. Enright and The Human Development Study Group (1991). It is expected that educators utilizing this manual will have training and familiarity with that model.
The manual is being provided free of charge at this time to professionals working with dying persons. To order the manual free of charge, please contact the International Forgiveness Institute by sending your name and address to the following e-mail address: director@forgiveness-institute.org (The manual is not available from our online order form. You must contact us via e-mail to receive it.)
